The war against Israel is a war against western democracy

I must admit that the Hamas/Hezbollah/Houthi/Syria/Iraq/Iran axis is very good at propaganda. They seem to have fooled a large number of, otherwise progressive, college students and Democrats that the state of Israel is the bad guy and Hamas is the good guy in the current war in Gaza. Oh, they will say that they are supporting the “Palestinian people” rather than the terrorist group, but then they will go to Hamas-supported rallies and chant “From the river to the sea…”, which is a slogan that means “kill all the Jews and erase the country of Israel from the map.”

The people organizing and financing the so-called “Free Palestine” movement are not friends of the Progressive Left in America. They a part of Iran’s “Death to America, Death to Israel,” movement. The phrase “Free Palestine” does not mean “protect civilians from suffering in a war their leaders started.” To the people who coined the phrase, “Free Palestine” means “Remove all Jews from the land that we claim to be ours.”

Jihadi Islam is not an ally of Western values

What is the record of Muslim Arab countries on women’s rights? (Hint: In Saudi Arabia women were finally allowed to drive in 2018!!). How do they treat their LGBTQ+ citizens? (In Iran they still execute people for this). How free are college students in Muslim Arab countries to protest their government or their college administrations? (They would risk jail, beatings, or worse).

Perhaps the reason why privileged young “progressives” in America are susceptible to being manipulated by terrorists is their natural inclination to support the oppressed. Organizations like The PLO, the Palestinian Authority, UNWRA, and practically every Arab and Muslim nation have, for decades, portrayed the Palestinians as oppressed “refugees” who have been under the thumb of Israel since 1967.

Well, the stateless Palestinians ARE oppressed. But they are in their current situation because they, their corrupt leaders, and the Arab countries around them, have repeatedly refused to accept, for more than 75 years, multiple offers of a two-state solution. They refuse to acknowledge the facts on the ground. They continue to insist on a “right of return” to places their great-grandparents may have lived. They continue to cling to their decades-old fantasy that the state of Israel should not exist.

Yes, this is a war of genocide. It is a war of genocide against the Jews — and that war has been ongoing since long before the state of Israel was founded in 1948. The genocidal terrorist organization Hamas launched the latest sadistic round of this war on October 7, 2023 — after deliberately building their military facilities in Gaza underneath civilian homes, schools, and hospitals.

Israel is a natural ally of the West

Israel is the only free democratic state in the entire region. Israel has complete freedom of religion. It is home to Jews, Muslims, Christians, Druze, and many others. Israel is a democracy. It has multiple political parties. There are Arab Israelis in the Knesset (Parliament), and Arabs have served in the Israeli foreign service and on the Israeli Supreme Court.

American leftists and college students need to wake up and see that we have everything in common with Israel and nothing in common with Jihadi Muslims and Iran. Yes, we disagree with the right-wing government of Benjamin Netanyahu and the crazy “ultra right-wing” members in his cabinet. Yes, we want peace and for the Palestinians to have their own state. But American liberals, just like the Israelis, believe in peaceful co-existence – not rockets, murder, and kidnappings.

The terrorists are the enemy, not Israel

Over the decades, various Arab nations and Palestinian groups have decided that peace with Israel is better than the ongoing war. But the Iran-sponsored Jihadi Muslims, such as Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Houthis, still want nothing less than to kill all the Jews. All three of these groups violently attack Israel on a near daily basis. Where is the outrage about this?

It makes no sense to side with the people, organizations, and governments who created the problem in Palestine and side against the only free, secular, democratic, country in the entire region.

The terrorists do not care about the Palestinians

Iran and its jihadi groups have clearly stated that their goal is to destroy Israel first, and then America. They have no concern for suffering Palestinian citizens in Gaza. They deliberately set up their own people in Gaza as “human shields” and are now using their suffering as a propaganda tool.

I have to ask the protesters, “Where is your disgust for Hamas? Why don’t you demand that Hamas end its genocidal war against Israel and return the hostages? Why are you angry at the people who are trying to root out the violent jihadi terrorists who started the war and not angry at the terrorists themselves?”

If you actually care about the people of Gaza, you should be demanding that Hamas surrender immediately. Attempts to undermine Israel only makes Iran happy, gives hope to the terrorists, and prolongs the war.

It is one thing to offer constructive criticism to an ally. But it is suicide to abandon them in the face of a mutual enemy. If Israel loses the war against radical, jihadi, Islam, the war will come to America next. Believe what they say.

    • And I’m making the case against the murder, kidnapping, and violence that Iran-backed, jihadi Muslims are doing to Israel. My point, in case you missed it, is that the Palestinians are victims of their own (lack of) leadership. Arab Muslims who live in free democratic Israel do not want to live in a “Palestinian” state.
