How many times did you vote for him?

In a democratic republic, the voting public chooses the people who are put into public office and given the powers and responsibilities of governing. Therefore, it follows that the citizens of a republic share the responsibility for the policies enacted, and the actions taken, by the government in their name.

2016 – Strike One

If you voted for him in 2016, you did so knowing that this man believes that he is entitled, at any time, to grab any woman between the legs.

When you’re a star they let you do it. You can do anything.

-DJT, 2025

You voted for a man who has been divorced twice and has cheated repeatedly on all three wives.

You voted for a man who played a “successful” businessman on television, but who was, in fact, a spectacular business failure in real life. Between 1985 and 1994 his business losses totaled more than a billion dollars.

Chapter 11 Bankruptcy
1991 – Trump Taj Mahal
1992 – Trump Plaza Hotel
1992 – Trump Castle Hotel and Casino
1992 – Plaza Operating Partners (Plaza Hotel)
2004 – Trump Hotels and Casinos Resorts
2009 – Trump entertainment Resorts

You voted for a man who fails to pay his workers, stiffs his creditors, and violates his contracts.

2020 – Strike Two

If you voted for him in 2020, you voted for a president who had been impeached for abuse of power and obstruction of Congress.

This Congressional action was sold to you as mere “partisan politics,” but the facts remain that he did solicit foreign interference by Russia in his 2020 election bid, and he did withhold military aid to Ukraine in order to blackmail president Zelenskyy into “investigating” his election opponent, Joe Biden.

During his first term this man withdrew the US from the Paris Agreeement on climate change and rolled back over 100 regulations regarding clean water, air quality, and emissions standards for power plants and vehicles.

He separated over 5,000 children from their parents at the US-Mexico border. He attacked the judiciary, the intelligence community, and the Department of Justice and hollowed out many Federal agencies – especially the State Department and the Environmental Protection Agency.

His 2017 “Tax Cuts and Jobs Act” added more than $1.5 trillion to the national debt over ten years by significantly reducing corporate taxes. He also launched trade wars that harmed American farmers and manufacturers.

His “America First” agenda, and his withdrawal from the Iran nuclear deal, damaged our relationships with our NATO allies and diminshed US standing and influence around the world.

His slow response and inept handling of the COVID-19 pandemic caused severe economic disruption and thousands of unnecessary deaths.

2024 – Strike Three

If you voted for him in 2024, you had to ignore the events of January 6th, 2021 at the US Capitol when he incited a violent mob to disrupt the constitutional certification of the 2020 election. There was massive property damage, over 140 injuries to police officers, and several deaths, but you probably forgot about these events since they took place nearly 3 years earlier. Or perhaps you chose to believe the ridiculous, oft-repeated, lie that the 2020 election was “stolen.”

The attack on the Capitol led to his second impeachment. This time it was for “incitement of insurrection.”

During the 2024 campaign, he was brought to trial for hush money payments to his porn star mistress. He was convicted in May 2004 on 34 felony counts of falsifying business records.

He was also charged in three other cases: Improper possession of classified documents in Florida, Federal Election Obstruction in D.C., and Election Racketeering in Georgia. These cases were all dropped, not because there was no evidence, but because you elected him president again.

That’s truly a novel way to avoid any consequences for criminal behavior! And, in voting for him, you made his escape possible. No wonder he wants a third term!

Reaping what we have sown

Since the 2024 election, his ignorant, corrupt, selfish, arrogance has destroyed our government, our economy, and our standing in the world.

Since his re-election, this man has taken a wrecking ball to our country. Here is a partial list:

Pardons. During his first day back in office he granted a blanket parden to the nearly 1,600 people convicted of, or awaiting trial or sentencing, for offenses related to the insurrection at the Capitol on January 16, 2021. These violent, lawless, rioters are his friends.

DOGE. He allowed Elon Musk and a handful of young hackers to invade and copy private Federal databases and recklessly fire large numbers of Federal employees without cause or due process.

USAID. He gutted the our country’s most successful “soft power” agency and condemned hundreds of thousands of people to die of starvation or disease.

Tariffs. He continues to recklessly bully our allies and others with random, and often fluctuating, tariffs. This causes havoc with the world economy and raises prices for Americans.

Ballroom. He literally took a wrecking ball to the East Wing of the White House without consulting anyone.

Kennedy Center. He took over the board of the Kennedy Center and made himself the chairman. Next, he added his name to the Center, then he announced that the building would be closed for two years for “renovation.” (We do not know whether he intends to add tacky golden ornaments to the walls or tear part of it down – he has done both to the White house).

Prices. His tariffs and other economic blunders have dramatically raised consumer prices. The Iran war will continue raise them even further.

Corruption. He, his family, and his select friends, are making unprecedented billions of dollars by selling government favors and extending flattery to him.

Greenland. He has offended Demark, Greenland, and all of Europe, by repeatedly suggesting that the US annex Greenland.

Peace Prize. He stupidly fell for the strategic, manipulative, flattery from FIFA head, Gianni Infantino, who invented a “FIFA Peace Prize” just for him. Then he demanded, and got, the actual Noble Peace Prize winner, Venezualan opposition leader Maria Corina Machado, to give her medal to him. She got nothing in return.

Minneapolis. His anonymous, masked, poorly trained, massively overfunded, private army of goons shot and killed two US citizens and abused many more. They refuse to follow the Constitutionally guaranteed rights of due process or respect the sanctity of homes, schools, and churches.

Venezuela. He sent US troops to kidnap the Venezuelan president, Nicolas Maduro, but then, rather than supporting the opposition in that country, he left the existing violent junta in power. He does, however, continue to “control” its oil.

Iran. He started a war against a country that posed no immediate threat to our country. He did not seek permission from Congress (as that pesky Constitution requires) or even inform them. He did not consult with NATO or any of our allies. He fired the government’s Iran experts just days before the war. He was surprised that Iran closed the Strait of Hormuz. He claims to be “negotiating” an end to the war while Iran denies there are any talks at all.

Are people waking up?

There is increasing evidence in the streets (ever larger “No Kings” protests) and in the voting booth (Democrat victories in “T” districts) that more and more people are fed up. But if you voted for him three times, you have some serious delusion to overcome.

  1. This listing makes me so tired. We’re trying to celebrated the hope and promise of 1776 this year while dragging along a ball and chain, the prison door – all as dead weight.

  2. Sadly, Mr. tRumpf and his cabinet and Project 2025 are not done with America yet. We are like the frogs in water and he is raising the heat. We get so many hits from him we don’t know when we will all be boiled alive. President Russell M. Nelson was right…we are in going to need te Holy Spirit to get through the coming days. President Oaks reaffirmed President Nelson’s remarks on 2/25/26 to BYU students.

  3. I attended stake conference this last Sunday. There was not one solitary word about the Trump engendered crisis. I conclude the Church is not alarmed or does not care.

  4. Not one word about Trump, Hegseth etc. in today’s session. Maybe tomorrow?

Are we to live in a separate reality where Trump does not exist?
